THE GIG Our Company Archive was set up in 2022 and is located at our Camden Head Office. The Archive sits within the Intellectual Property (IP) Legal team and is managed by our Head of Archive. We are now expanding the archive team and are recruiting for the role of Archive Assistant. We are looking for an archive assistant who will bring enthusiasm for the Dr. Martens brand and has a customer-focused mindset in delivering a high-quality archive service to the business. Due to the nature of this role it will be primarily based at our Camden office with some opportunity for hybrid working. As our Archive Assistant you will be responsible for: Support the Head of Archive in providing archive and heritage expertise across the business. Catalogue, manage, and maintain physical archive collections and the heritage management system (S-collection). Research product and heritage stories to support brand and business initiatives. Contribute to improving archive processes, guidelines, and standards while staying up to date with industry developments. Deliver a high-quality internal archive service and assist in the day-to-day running of archive and heritage operations across multiple sites as part of a small team. THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART Put simply, for this role the key things we’re looking for are: A natural curiosity for the Dr. Martens brand with a passion for capturing and sharing its stories and heritage. Strong attention to detail in record keeping, handling archive materials, and maintaining accurate documentation. Highly organised with experience using databases and Microsoft applications (Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) to keep information consistent and up to date. Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset, able to build strong relationships and engage colleagues with archive insights. Interest in heritage and archives, ideally with experience in a library, archive, museum, or heritage setting, and proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
