Role Description
This position, officially known as a Shared Waste Communication Officer, focuses on promoting waste minimisation, recycling, and sustainability through effective communication strategies. You will create engaging content for various audiences, including in-person, print, and social media, to encourage participation and awareness.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the shared waste service communications plan
* Create promotional and educational materials
* Deliver presentations and organize outreach events
* Engage with community partners and stakeholders
* Manage social media presence and campaigns
* Respond to inquiries and provide information on waste services
* Maintain data for performance management
Candidate Requirements
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Interest or experience in environmental services or communications
* Experience in developing diverse communication materials
* Customer service experience, including handling complaints
* Fluent English communication skills
* Event planning and management experience
* DBS clearance
* Driving licence and own vehicle
* Willingness to work evenings and weekends
