Overview
Manor Primary School are looking to appoint a reliable, flexible and practical Cleaner. The successful candidate will support our school in providing a clean, tidy, hygienic, safe and well maintained learning environment. Post: Cleaner, NJC Grade 2. 15 hours per week – Term time plus 2 weeks. Monday – Friday – 3.30pm – 6:30pm. Location: Manor Primary School, Manor MAT.
Responsibilities
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the school.
* Ensure security is maintained at all times to support and safeguard the welfare of all users of the school premises.
* Assist with deeper cleaning during school shutdown periods as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
* Must be fit and able to cope with the physical demands of the role.
* Good individual and team skills; able to handle a variety of situations.
* Previous cleaning experience and safe use of chemicals and cleaning machinery are desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Training and Work Arrangements
* There will be a requirement to undertake training appropriate to the post.
* Please note annual leave must be taken during school holidays.
* Role may require flexibility for deeper cleans during school breaks.

* At interview, candidates will be asked for photo identification and, where applicable, proof of qualifications.
* The appointment is subject to two satisfactory references.
* The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check along with other relevant employment checks. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check including a Children's Barring List Check. If you are barred from working with children you are breaking the law if you apply for this post.
* Online search may be undertaken on shortlisted candidates; this does not form part of the shortlisting process but may be discussed at interview.
