Welcome to Woodlands Day Nursery and Preschool, where we create a nurturing environment that feels like a home away from home! Located in the heart of Oxted, just a short stroll from Oxted Station and St Mary's Primary School, our nursery is a haven for children to feel safe, valued, and inspired every day.
We are on the lookout for a passionate Room Leader to join our dedicated team. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, all year round, with a competitive salary of £36,670.40 per annum and a £1,000 joining bonus!

Your Role as Room Leader
As our Room Leader, you will:
* Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences that cater to children's age and development.
* Enhance children's physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
* Support staff in maintaining high-quality updates on the EyLog system and learning journals.
* Lead by example, promoting respect and consistency in your role.
* Implement an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments.
* Maintain accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system.
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
* Understand and meet the statutory framework requirements for the EYFS.

What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you will need:
*
Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification: Essential
*
Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years: Essential
*
Over 6 months’ experience in a senior position: Desirable
*
Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations: Desirable
*
Knowledge of EYFS statutory framework and regulatory requirements: Essential
*
Fluency in written and spoken English: Essential
