Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Planner / Planning Consultant. The position is based in Kirkham with flexibility for hybrid work‑from‑home arrangements. Responsibilities include managing planning applications, preparing and submitting planning reports, conducting site appraisals, and providing expert guidance on planning policy and regulations. The role may involve liaising with stakeholders, local authorities, and clients to deliver effective project outcomes.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of planning regulations, policies, and legislation
* Skills in project management, from inception to completion
* Experience in preparing detailed planning applications and reports
* Ability to conduct thorough site appraisals and feasibility assessments
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a client‑focused approach
* Experience liaising with local authorities and key stakeholders
* Bachelor's degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field
* Professional qualification or accreditation (e.g. RTPI membership) is desirable
* Proficiency in relevant planning tools and software is a plus
* Proactive mindset with excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills
