Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The main purpose of this role is the inspection, service, and repair of all electrical and, where appropriate, basic mechanical systems of the plant and equipment within the facility. The goal is to ensure that this is carried out in a safe and competent manner and in compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
* Service and repair of all electrical/mechanical plant – including all facility equipment and electrical systems.
* Perform diagnostics using manufacturers' publications, schematics, and software to troubleshoot and repair.
* Carry out preventative maintenance tasks.
* Advise line management of potential plant problems.
* Identify and source components and services to complete maintenance tasks.
* Write technical documentation such as instructions, risk assessments, LOTO procedures, and maintenance reports.
Keys to Success
* Read and understand technical drawings and documentation.
* Be highly proficient in PLC control systems and electrical drive systems.

Requirements And Preferred Skills
* A recognized apprenticeship in an appropriate skill.
* At least 4 years of post-apprenticeship electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment. Multi-skilled electrical bias experience is advantageous.
* C&G, ONC, OND, NVQ qualification in relevant subjects.
* Experience in fault finding and repairing PLC-controlled equipment (Siemens preferred).
* Knowledge of IEE 18th Edition Regulations, BS 2391 inspection and testing, or equivalent.
