📍 Birmingham (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)
Our client, a top global organization, is looking for Automation Testers to join a large-scale transformation programme within a complex enterprise environment. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple applications and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain Java-based test automation frameworks
* Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to maximise coverage across critical system features
* Enhance and evolve automation frameworks to support new testing requirements
* Implement CI integration for automated regression test execution
* Develop automated tests across UI, API, and database layers
* Apply Agile testing practices including BDD, TDD, ATDD, and Continuous Testing
* Collaborate with QA and Automation Leads to drive standardised testing approaches
* Log defects and contribute to metrics, KPIs, and reporting
* Adhere to enterprise performance monitoring and QA standards
* Strong experience delivering test automation strategies in large-scale IT environments
* Excellent Java skills for building reusable, maintainable automation solutions
* Solid understanding of BDD/TDD (Gherkin, Cucumber)
* Experience with automation design patterns such as Page Object Model, Factory, Singleton, Facade
* Hands-on experience with tools including:
* Selenium, Serenity, Karate
* RestAssured, Postman
* TestNG, JUnit
* Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, ServiceNow
* Experience working in Agile delivery teams
* Exposure to performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, Performance Centre, or JMeter
* Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
* Background in regulated or enterprise environments
