Job Summary
ARE YOU a highly motivated, organised and flexible receptionist/administrator? If so, we are looking for a part time Band 2 Receptionist to be based at the Cheshunt Community Hospital.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated receptionist to work Thursday and Friday, 8am -12.30pm. The receptionist is the first point of contact for all visitors to our friendly hospital.
Main duties of the job
Applicants must have good organisational skills, a range of office skills and experience in working in reception/administration. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as you will have both face to face and telephone contact with service users on a daily basis. Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, a friendly approach and being enthusiastic are all required for this post. A knowledge of SystmOne would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
Applicants must be flexible to cover holiday/sickness when required, this could involve travelling to other centres. A full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £1,192 per annum pro rata.

Education Essential:
1. GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualification grade C and above
2. Typing speed of 30 words per minute
Experience Essential:
1. Experience working in an office environment
2. Basic IT knowledge and experience including carrying out basic internet navigation
3. Experience of data entry
4. Basic knowledge of and experience of using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook
Skills Essential:
1. Good organisational skills
2. Ability to organise and maintain manual and computerised storage systems
3. Ability to cope with difficult situations
