We are seeking an experienced Finance Lead with a strong background in SAP Finance solutions and proven expertise in the public sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with SAP PS (Project Systems), SAP FM (Funds Management), and SAP FI/CO or S/4HANA Finance. This role will be critical in leading financial process design, configuration, and optimization for a large-scale SAP modernization initiative.

Must Haves
1. Public Sector Experience: Candidates must demonstrate extensive experience working within the public sector over the past decade, with a minimum of 2 years dedicated to this domain.
2. SAP Expertise: Proven experience with SAP PS (Project Systems) and SAP FM (Funds Management) is required. The candidate should have a deep understanding of how to implement, configure, and manage these modules within a public sector environment.
3. Financial Expertise: A strong grasp of financial principles, accounting standards (such as GAAP or IFRS), and diverse financial processes is essential. Candidates should have a proven track record in managing general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, asset management, and financial close processes.
4. SAP Finance Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of SAP's Finance module (FI/CO or S/4HANA Finance). This includes experience in configuring, customizing, and integrating the module with other SAP components and non-SAP systems.
5. Process Reengineering: The ability to critically analyze and optimize financial processes within the context of a SAP modernization project is critical. Candidates should be able to understand current state processes, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and propose future state configurations.
