SUMMARY Responsible for the development, implementation and continual improvement of the company’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Management Systems, ensuring full compliance with legislative, regulatory and certification requirements, while driving a positive safety culture and continuous improvement across the organisation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Continual review, development and improvement of the company’s QHSE Management Systems (QMS & HSE systems). • Ensure compliance with all applicable Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and industry standards. • Monitor company-wide QHSE performance and report findings at management review meetings. • Investigate all QHSE-related incidents, accidents, near misses, non-conformances and customer complaints. • Ensure root cause analysis is conducted and corrective and preventive actions are implemented and monitored to completion. • Chair Safety Committee and QHSE meetings and communicate outcomes across the business. • Manage internal audits and coordinate external audits including customer and certification audits. • Maintain and regularly review the Legislation Register to ensure ongoing compliance. • Ensure timely statutory reporting, including RIDDOR submissions where applicable. • Liaise with the Quality team to review and update QHSE procedures, forms and documentation in line with legal and operational changes. • Support the development and review of risk assessments, environmental impact assessments and method statements. • Ensure environmental objectives and waste management controls are effectively implemented and monitored. • Periodically review standard issue PPE to ensure suitability and effectiveness. • Promote a proactive QHSE culture and continuous improvement throughout the organisation. • Fully comply with and promote adherence to the company QMS. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications: • NEBOSH General Certificate (Essential). • NEBOSH Diploma or further progression in Health & Safety (Desirable). • Internal Auditor qualification (ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 preferred). Experience: • Previous experience in a QHSE Manager or HSE Manager role. • Experience managing Quality Management Systems. • Experience coordinating and leading internal and external audits. • Strong working knowledge of relevant Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental legislation. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
