Established in 2014 by the current Managing Director, Elliot Hawkins, Hawks has grown and thrived by embracing and applying the latest technology and training techniques to the crane hire and construction sector.
Year on year, the company has increased its turnover along with the size and capacity of its crane fleet.
On top of this, new divisions such as our Contract Lifting Division have been founded to further enhance our range of support to our clients within the market.

The Role: Business Development Manager (Crane Hire, Contract Lifting & Labour Hire)
As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for finding new accounts and maintaining relationships with current customers within the three main offerings:
* Crawler Crane Hire
* Contract Lifting
* Lifting Labour Hire
You will be building relationships with construction companies across the UK. You will be supplying contractors working on some of the most prestigious projects in the country, specially targeting Lower Thames Crossing and Sizewell C.
Complete responsibility for the whole sales cycle from start (lead generation) to end (signing of hire contracts). The role will require you to travel to meet customers and to cover the operations manager whilst they are on annual leave.
Key Responsibilities in the role
* Researching and developing new business through various sales activities.
* Building sustained relationships with current customers to ensure long term growth.
* Meeting weekly gross profit sales targets set by the Managing Director of the company.
* Visiting sites and occasionally entertaining clients.
* Exhibiting at various industry events
Candidate Characteristics
* Pride and passion for their sales role.
* Personable character and are able to communicate with all levels of management within a company.
* Proven track record of meeting targets or deadlines set in a previous role.
* Works well within a team environment.
* Good technical understand of the lifting industry and IT systems.
* Technical Knowledge within the crane industry would be preferred but not essential.

* £60,000 Base Salary
* £20,000 on target earnings for Hitting Targets
