Location: Essex (Chelmsford)
Hours: Full time ( Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM )

Job Purpose
The Talent Acquisition Officer is responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process to attract and hire high-quality candidates for various roles within the domiciliary care sector. This includes sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews for care staff and support roles, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. The role plays a key part in supporting workforce growth, retention, and ensuring that staffing needs are met to maintain the quality and continuity of care services.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage the full recruitment lifecycle for all positions, including care workers, coordinators, and administrative roles.
Source candidates through various channels such as job advert portals, social media, recruitment agencies, and career fairs.
Draft and publish engaging and compliant job advertisements tailored to the care sector.
Pre-screen applications and conduct initial telephone and 1st level screening interviews to assess suitability.
Liaise with hiring managers to understand role requirements and schedule interviews accordingly.
Ensure all pre-employment checks are completed (e.g. DBS, references, right to work, qualifications).
Maintain and update the applicant tracking system and recruitment dashboards and prepare MIS's to the higher management.
Promote the company as an employer of choice through branding initiatives and outreach.
Support onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration of new hires & Coordinating inductions trainings and shadowing etc.
Monitor recruitment metrics and report on time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and source effectiveness.
Ensure all recruitment activities comply with CQC standards and safer recruitment practices.
Maintain candidate pipelines for future hiring needs and ensure to retain and absorb right candidates.
Essential Criteria
· Minimum 2 years of experience in a recruitment or talent acquisition role, preferably within the healthcare or domiciliary care sector.
· Experience in managing end-to-end recruitment processes, including advertising, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
· Knowledge of UK employment legislation, right to work checks, and safer recruitment practices, especially in line with CQC (Care Quality Commission) requirements.
· Familiarity with pre-employment checks including DBS verification, reference checks, and credential verification.
· Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR databases.
· Proven ability to handle high-volume recruitment, particularly for care and support staff roles..
Desirable:
· Experience in employer branding, social media recruitment campaigns, and candidate pipeline building.
· Previous experience supporting international recruitment or managing visa and sponsorship processes.
· CIPD Level 3 (or higher) or a professional recruitment qualification (e.g. REC, Level 3 Certificate in Recruitment Practice).
· Understanding of the Skills for Care standards and training frameworks.
