CJP Outreach Services are looking for a kind, reliable, creative and flexible Support Worker to provide one-to-one care for an elegant, gentle and warm-hearted lady living with dementia in the HD6 area. She lives at home with her husband in a comfortable private residence, which is a calm, supportive environment and requires day-to-day assistance to maintain her dignity, comfort, safety, and quality of life. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys building a meaningful relationship with the person they support, and who is confident in providing creative stimulation, personal care and practical help around the home. You will be part of a small team working 12-hour day shifts (10am – 10pm), with flexibility on which days you work.
Key Responsibilities:

* Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, oral health and makeup)
* Assisting with mobility
* Providing companionship, emotional support, creative interaction and communication
* Preparing meals, assisting with feeding and drinks and occasional baking
* Supporting outdoor walks (wheelchair assistance required)
* Light housework, laundry, and general tidying
* Liaising with family and observing/reporting any changes in wellbeing
* Administering medication
Requirements:
*
* Experience supporting someone with late stages of Alzheimer’s is highly desirable
* Friendly, patient, calm and creative personality
* Ability to commit to 12-hour shifts (10am – 10pm), with flexibility on days
* Trustworthy and respectful of privacy and dignity
* Confident with personal care domestic duties and creative communication
