Carbon60 are seeking an experienced Quality/Product Assurance Engineer (Manufacturing) to work with their renowned defence client based in Stevenage.
Job Title: Product Assurance Engineer, Manufacturing
Location: Stevenage (Minimum 3 days a week onsite)
Duration: 6-months (extension Possible)
About the Role:
As the Product Assurance Engineer (Manufacturing), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's manufacturing processes and outputs meet the highest standards of quality. Reporting to the Product Assurance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing expert advice and support on all aspects of quality within the company's manufacturing operations
* Provision of quality assurance assistance to UK Manufacturing division in support of manufacturing excellence including development and delivery of quality awareness and other process and quality-related training.
* Assessing and controlling product assurance quality processes to support cost, time, and quality targets
* Conducting independent audits and assessments to identify and address any issues or areas for improvement
* Collaborating with quality assurance colleagues across the organisation to drive continuous improvement
* Provide advice and help in the use of SAP as the non-conformance management tool and identify SAP improvement with respect to the Quality Module.
What We're Looking For:
* Minimum HNC/HND qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent
* Extensive experience in process-based integrated management systems and business improvement in an engineering/manufacturing environment
* Proficiency in using risk management and problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5Y, and PFMEA
* Strong auditing skills and a deep understanding of EN9100/AS9100 requirements
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing abilities
* A self-motivated and persistent approach to delivering results
This role will require the successful candidate to undergo Security Clearance. You must be a British Citizen to apply for this role.
