Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Fieldstone School (covering Ashburton & Newton House sites) – Devon TQ13 7EP
Salary: Up to £53,200 FTE DOE
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am – 16:30pm
Contract: Permanent (Term time only, or flexibility around full‑time contract can be discussed based on your personal circumstances)
Essential: Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

The role
We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our in‑house clinical team at Fieldstone School. Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke assessments and interventions to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neuro‑divergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working and hold a caseload with full support from your designated clinical supervisor and Lead Clinician. Your role will also involve contributing to staff training and consultation as required. Essential Criteria
* Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy
* HCPC registered and registered with the RCSLT
* Expert level knowledge, skill and expertise in specialist areas of practice relevant to the cohort of pupils in OFG services
* Relevant experience engaging and working with individuals presenting with complex and diverse communication profiles
* Knowledge of neurodiversity and trauma‑informed practice
* Experience of multi‑disciplinary working in a range of settings
* Experience of communicating with families, relatives and carers
* Interest in developing knowledge and skills in different areas of SaLT practice
* Good relationship‑building, analytical and judgmental skills
* Strong communication skills (oral and written)
* Good time‑management and organisational skills
* Competence in core areas of SaLT practice and clear understanding of RCSLT Communication Standards
* Knowledge of different SaLT assessment tools, types of intervention and ability to formulate support plans based on need profile
* Knowledge of relevant legislation for clinical practice and professional management in relation to the client group
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team
* Willingness to attend training and work towards further qualifications relevant to the client group supported
* Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Desirable
* Understanding of how sensory and motor differences may impact communication strengths and needs
* Understanding of the relationship between arousal levels and communication
