Robert Half are currently recruiting for a contract Senior Accounts Assistant role in Southampton to start in January.
The role will be working full-time, Monday to Friday onsite in Southampton - free parking is available.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Ledger:
* Match purchase invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
* Code invoices accurately and ensure proper authorisation.
* Process invoices through Sage 200 using Document Automation.
* Reconcile supplier statements, allocate payments, and investigate variances.
* Handle supplier queries promptly and professionally.
* Manage weekly payment runs and ad-hoc payments as required.
* Check, process, and pay employee expenses
* Reconcile company credit cards on
* Complete month-end reconciliations and close the Purchase Ledger.
Receivables Ledger:
* Post cashbook receipts into Sage 200.
* Perform monthly cashbook and bank account reconciliations.
* Generate and distribute month-end customer statements.
* Reconcile and close the Receivables Ledger at month-end.
* Respond to customer queries and manage credit control activities.
* Conduct credit checks and set up new customer accounts.
You must be able to oversee a team of 2 people.
