Dean Close Little Trees Nursery is seeking a dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to support the leadership and day-to-day running at Little Trees Hucclecote. This role is ideal for an Early Years professional who is passionate about childrens wellbeing, quality care, and continuous improvement within an Ofsted regulatory framework.
Overview
Working in partnership with the Nursery Manager, the Deputy Nursery Manager will play a key role in ensuring the nursery provides safe, nurturing, and stimulating environments where children can thrive. The Deputy will support the delivery of high‑quality care and learning in line with the Early Years Statutory Framework and Ofsted requirements.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support a team to provide high‑quality early years education and care.
* Set high expectations and standards, leading by example.
* Ensure that the nursery environment is safe, nurturing, and stimulating.
* Support the delivery of high‑quality care and learning in line with the Early Years Statutory Framework and Ofsted requirements.
* Provide professional development and support for staff wellbeing.
* Facilitate the inspection process and promote continuous improvement.
* Maintain record keeping and reporting as required by statutory frameworks.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum of two years working in an early years setting.
* NNEB, BTEC National Diploma, NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
* Early Years Teacher status (Level 4/5 desirable).
* Experience in a leadership role.
* Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's rights and wellbeing.
* Knowledge of health and safety issues and legislation.
* Reflexive, proactive, and motivated to support continuous improvement.
