Validation Engineer and Technical Author

A leading designer and manufacturer of high-quality manufacturing equipment for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry has an immediate requirement for a Technical Author/Validation Engineer to join their team at their offices in Laindon, Essex.

Location: Laindon, Essex SS15 6AB

Salary: Circa £35,000 with excellent benefits

As Technical Author/Validation Engineer, you will support Project Managers and Engineering Technicians by performing tests on machines within our factory using preprepared test protocols to verify machine operation. Your role will focus on ensuring consistency and understanding machine functionality.

Additional responsibilities include:

* Reporting test outcomes and providing feedback for process improvement
* Reviewing and updating Equipment Design Specifications and Qualification Documentation
* Liaising during the equipment build process
* Preparing equipment Operator and Technical Manuals in compliance with machinery standards and safety requirements for UKCA/CE marking, functional safety, ATEX certification

As your experience grows, your role may expand to include:

* Preparing Qualification Documentation (DQ, IQ, OQ)
* Developing Equipment Design Specifications
* Interpreting Customer User Requirements and documentation
* Liaising with suppliers and validation departments during projects
* Conducting Site Acceptance Tests at customer sites

Requirements for this role include experience in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering (e.g., HNC trained or engineering graduate with relevant experience) and strong communication skills. Some testing experience is beneficial.

Occasional global travel may be required.
