Market 36 are delighted to be supporting Braintree District Council in recruiting an Operations Support Manager on a full-time, temporary basis. The successful candidate will support the Strategy and Business Development Manager in the development and delivery of services within Operations, ensuring high-quality, customer-focused outputs that embrace efficiency and best practice. This role includes directing key operational areas, strengthening partnerships with external organisations, and supporting the development of the commercial portfolio through continuous improvement and value-for-money initiatives. Role Accountabilities · Managing and supporting Supervisors and Officers, including holding regular team meetings, 1:1s and driving team performance toward service goals · Attending external partnership meetings, trade events and conferences and implementing relevant outcomes to keep Operations aligned with industry updates and legislative changes · Managing statutory returns, including submissions to the Environment Agency, Defra (Waste Data Flow) and Recycling Credits to the county council · Overseeing infrastructure, assets and facilities within the service, including annual H&S inspections and ad-hoc site visits, ensuring issues are addressed promptly · Ensuring all work complies with procurement, governance and corporate policies, including Standing Orders, Financial Regulations, Equalit...
