About the Role
A rapidly growing passive fire protection company is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join their commercial team on a 12-month fixed-term contract - (may be extended due to growth). This role is pivotal in managing the financial and commercial performance of multiple projects, ensuring accurate reporting and supporting operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
🔍 Enquiry Management
* Collaborate with operations to assess work requirements and costings
* Maintain client relationships and support business development
* Liaise with the Commercial Director on future opportunities
💼 Financial Management
* Prepare monthly valuations and applications in line with client schedules
* Oversee invoicing and resolve account queries with credit control and operations
* Ensure accurate financial documentation across all projects
📊 Commercial Reporting
* Produce and maintain monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations)
* Track labour and material costs against project value
* Maintain and update payment trackers
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager in construction or fire protection
* Strong understanding of commercial processes and financial reporting
* Proficient in cloud-based systems and digital documentation
* Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
