About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Health Care Assistant to join our compassionate and friendly care team. This is a hands-on leadership role that involves administering medication, overseeing the care team on shift, and delivering high-quality personal care and support to our residents.
We're looking for someone local who takes pride in delivering person-centred care and has a genuine passion for working in a supportive and homely environment.
Working Hours:
* 7:00am – 2:00pm
* 2:00pm – 9:00pm
* Or, if preferred, 7:00am – 9:00pm (long day shift)
* Two-week rolling rota to provide consistency and work-life balance
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer prescribed medication in line with policies and procedures
* Lead, support and supervise the care team on shift
* Deliver high standards of personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility assistance
* Promote dignity, independence, and well-being for all residents
* Carry out regular care plan reviews and update records accurately
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external healthcare professionals
* Ensure the home remains a safe and welcoming environment at all times
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or similar role in a health or social care setting
* Medication administration experience is essential
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) preferred
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Compassionate, reliable, and respectful
* Must be based locally or able to commute reliably
