Teaching Assistant – Primary School, Eastleigh (Hampshire)

An amazing Primary School in Eastleigh is seeking a committed and caring Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting children with their learning, with a particular focus on literacy and numeracy.
About the Role
We are looking for someone who is:
* Passionate about helping children achieve their full potential
* Able to support teaching and learning within the classroom
* Skilled or keen to develop skills in supporting literacy and numeracy interventions
* Patient, proactive, and able to build positive relationships with pupils
* Confident working with individuals, small groups, and occasionally whole-class support
Key Responsibilities
* Provide targeted support in literacy (reading, phonics, writing) and numeracy
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
* Support pupils who may need additional encouragement or guidance
* Help create a positive, nurturing learning environment
* Contribute to pupil progress tracking and feedback

* Experience working with children (school-based experience preferred but not essential)
* Strong communication skills
