The Opportunity
Urgent need for a senior interim GC to lead legal across EMEA. True Regional GC-level remit, reporting into the Chief Legal Officer in the US.
You step in during leadership transition. You stabilise the function. You support the EMEA leadership team. You keep the business moving while a permanent hire is secured - and you can be can be considered for the full-time role. Day-to-day focus sits with EMEA stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all legal activity across Europe, Middle East and Africa
* Partner closely with London-based leadership on strategy and execution
* Provide hands-on support across:
* Commercial contracts
* Manufacturing and operations
* Employment and labour
* Regulatory, compliance and trade
* Disputes and litigation
* Manage external counsel across the region
* Bring structure and clear decision-making in a fast-moving environment
* Control risk while supporting commercial delivery
Candidate Profile
* England & Wales qualified
* Current or former GC / Deputy GC / Regional GC
* Strong sector background in petrochemicals, energy or industrials
* Deep EMEA experience
* Comfortable in high-pressure, operational settings
* Credible with senior stakeholders across regions
* Commercial, pragmatic, hands-on
Practicalities
* Start within 1-2 weeks
* 3–6 month interim
* London-based preferred with some occasional travel
