About the Role:
The role involves joining the real estate debt investment team as a junior investment professional at the Analyst level, with opportunities to get involved in other areas of the business. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, with excellent academic qualifications and a genuine interest and experience in real estate investments.
The responsibilities include research, financial analysis, and transaction underwriting, mainly for real estate (mezzanine and senior) debt opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Designing, updating, and amending models for RE Debt transactions, running scenarios, and producing outputs.
* Creating new models based on ad hoc transactions.
* Performing sensitivity and scenario analysis.
* Reviewing internal models for integrity using complex formulas.
* Executing quantitative deal analysis and ad hoc modeling.
* Conducting qualitative transaction analysis, including thorough due diligence on borrowers and properties, considering sector, location, and economic factors.
* Providing support on key projects and initiatives, developing tools to analyze business opportunities.
* Assessing new business opportunities and preparing summaries for decision-making.
* Producing marketing materials such as teasers, presentations, and credit papers, including research and information collation.
* Assisting in the preparation of Credit Committee reports.
* Participating in internal and external project meetings.
* Supporting negotiations, client proposals, and presentations.
* Building relationships with clients and funding partners.
* Liaising with legal and professional advisors.
* Monitoring real estate development projects and managing interim loan drawdowns.
* Compiling loan monitoring data for monthly management meetings.
