Our services include:
* Policy reviews
* Estate and delivery strategy formulation
* Options appraisals
* Viability assessments / VFM reviews
* Business case review and drafting (both HMT “Green Book” and any local arrangements)
* Support to Grant Funders
* Programme Management Office
We are seeking a Senior / Executive Consultant to support the wider team and develop our services based in either Nottingham or Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with team members to deliver a top‑class Advisory service that meets client requirements
* Manage and deliver a particular workstream or task within a multi‑disciplinary team, which may involve:
o Engaging with key client stakeholders
o Building effective relationships with stakeholders and external parties to ensure dependencies are effectively managed
o Producing innovative solutions to client challenges in a variety of formats
o Producing presentations and presenting to client groups
o Capturing lessons learned to support continuous improvement
* Support Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives
* Positively engage with clients, growing and maintaining client relationships
* Identify new business development opportunities and drive growth across business unit activities
* Manage yourself and others to deliver a high‑quality, profitable service
Responsibilities for the Consultancy Role with Major Grant Funder
* Liaison with grant funder operations and commercial teams
* Provision of tailored advice, guidance and support to grant funding recipients in delivering construction projects through best practice
* Knowledge and experience to advise on project team set‑up and procurement
* Capability, capacity and risk assurance reviews
* Provision of advice on project management tools, techniques and controls
* Practical support to enable projects to progress promptly and represent value for money
* Diagnostic reviews to identify risks, issues and blockers to project advancement
* Project audits
* Risk management and mitigation
* Monitoring of project progress and reporting to grant funders
* Execution of services in accordance with key performance indicators

Selection Criteria
* Ambition and a keenness to take on responsibility and progress
* Experience delivering construction projects
* Sound knowledge of the public sector and its challenges
* Practical experience providing consultancy advice to clients
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
* Methodical approach to thinking and work
* Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements quickly
* Excellent problem‑solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills
* Highly proficient in MS Outlook, Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Capable of working as part of a high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary team

Desirable Attributes
* Previous experience of working on façade remediation projects in the residential sector
* Knowledge of the Building Safety Regulator and associated gateway processes and procedures
* Experience working with a grant funder or grant‑aided projects
Qualifications
* Project management qualification (beneficial through prior consultancy roles)
* Chartered Management Consultancy Surveyor (MRICS)
* Chartered Project Professional (Association of Project Management)
