The Member Services team plays a vital role in supporting elected representatives, facilitating committee processes and ensuring the effective administration of Council business.About youMinimum of 2 years' relevant administrative or clerical experienceExperience preparing agendas, reports, minutes and correspondenceStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to work independently and maintain confidentialityExperience supporting meetings and committee administration (desirable)Knowledge of governance or committee procedures (desirable)Full driving licence (or access to suitable transport)What you'll doProvide confidential administrative support to elected members and Council committeesCoordinate agendas, reports, meeting papers and committee documentationAttend meetings, record proceedings and prepare accurate minutesManage paperless meeting systems and document circulation processesMaintain records relating to member attendance, committees and declarationsCoordinate meeting logistics, room bookings and virtual meeting arrangementsSupport Freedom of Information requests and governance reporting requirementsAssist with mayoral and civic administration activitiesArrange member travel, accommodation and conference attendanceMaintain calendars, records and administrative systemsLiaise with internal departments, elected members and external stakeholdersDeliver a high standard of customer service and administrative support throughout the organisationFor further information on this opportunity, or any other position in Belfast or wider Northern Ireland, please apply via the link or contact Conor Birch in the strictest confidence.IND04Skills:Administration Minute Taking Governance Support Meeting Coordination Public SectorBenefits:Additional BenefitsWHJS1_NI
