CNC Turner Location: Eye, Suffolk, IP23, United Kingdom Role: CNC Turner (Permanent) Rate: £15.00 per hour Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 am – 4:30 pm Friday: Early finish (typically around mid‑afternoon) About the Role We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join our client's precision engineering team. You will work within the machining department to produce high-quality components to drawing and specification, operating CNC turning machines and ensuring production schedules and quality standards are maintained. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision turned components in various materials (e.g., mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium). Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to achieve required tolerances and finishes. Load tooling, fixtures, and materials; ensure correct programmes are selected or created. Monitor machine operations, make adjustments for feeds/speeds, and ensure quality outputs. Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to inspect parts in‑process and at completion. Maintain a tidy and organised work area consistent with health, safety, and housekeeping standards. Skills & Experience Previous experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing/engineering environment. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Good understanding of tooling, feeds & speeds, and safe machining practices. Competent using precision measuring tools. A proactive approach, good communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
