We are Zeal
We're on a mission to become the most trusted lighting and visual production partner. And you could be too.
A bit about us
From the outside, Zeal is known for world-class lighting and visual production. Inside, we're known for how we work.
We design and deliver live shows and events from under one roof – partnering with artists, creatives, producers, agencies, venues, and teams who care about both ambition and execution.
Our services include production design, lighting design, programming, visual art, technical production, and equipment rental, specialising in lighting solutions.
The result is work that's imaginative, meticulous, and thoughtfully delivered.
We're curious by nature, collaborative by default, and serious about our craft – but never at the expense of trust, authenticity, or people feeling supported to do their best work.
The quality of what we produce matters. But how it's made, and who it's made with, matters just as much.
Why this role exists
As we enter a new phase of growth in the projects we undertake and the amount of equipment we stock, we need people who take real pride in how it is prepped, handled, and cared for.
Our warehouse technicians play a vital role in supporting our ambition of being the most trusted production partner by ensuring equipment is in top condition for projects, and that our onsite crew and clients alike can rest assured everything works seamlessly the first time and looks as impressive behind the scenes as it does when all up and running.
What you'll be doing
As a Warehouse Technician, you play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for maintaining our reputation of providing high-quality technical equipment and preparing it for effective use on-site for the events we serve.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
* Cleaning, maintaining, and testing lighting equipment
* Supporting with the prepping and de-prepping shows
* Supporting the wider team to ensure a smooth operation at our home in Basingstoke
What we're looking for
You'll probably be great at this if you…
* Have a positive, can-do attitude
* Share some, if not all, of our core values
* Enjoy working as part of a team
* Are keen to learn new skills
* Have good attention to detail
* Have great communication skills
* Are IT literate
* Are able to prioritise workloads
Bonus points if you have…
* First aid training – we can provide this if not
* Counterbalance forklift training – again, we can sort this if not
* Experience within the live events industry
What it's like to work here
We might be biased, but we love it here.
We look out for each other.
We are calm under pressure.
We have high standards (and hold each other to them).
We take the work seriously – but not ourselves.
Position, salary, and location
This is a full-time, permanent position based in our shiny new warehouse in Basingstoke.
Salary:
£26,436 per annum
Core hours are 9am-6pm Monday to Friday. That said, live events don't always stick to office hours, so flexibility is part of the deal.
Last but definitely not least
We're out to create more imaginative and emotive moments for everyone, and we celebrate diversity amongst our audiences and our team.
We are committed to inclusion and equality across race, gender, sexuality, age, religion, identity, and experience.
We also know we have a long way to go, so are particularly keen to hear from you if you are from an underrepresented group within our industry.
