Job overview The post holder will be a single-handed restorative Consultant. This will be as part of the wider oral and maxillofacial team. The post holder will be expected to follow the job plan and manage their own work programme, within Trust policy and procedures This is a part-time post between 3 and 5 PAs with the NHS Consultant Contract The NHS job plan includes 1 PA Admin/SPA. The specific details of the job plan will be confirmed with the post holder. Advert · Provide outpatients clinics: new, review and treatment · Become involved in the interdisciplinary care of patients with Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. · Expand links with the Head and Neck Cancer Centre (CUH). · Continue to progress and develop dental implant service · Become involved in regional networks such as the MCN for restorative dentistry. · Participate in clinical audit. · Initiate and be involved in service development in their areas of special interest and in line with the Trust’s vision. · Be expected to take an active part in continuing dental education. · Undertake and participate in the appraisal process and job planning as part of revalidation · The Trust encourages involvement in clinical governance The Unit provides a comprehensive secondary care service in all of restorative dentistry, including rehabilitation of patients undergoing treatment for head & neck cancer and trauma.
