Job Title: Project Engineer at Safran Seats

In the UK, Safran Seats specializes exclusively in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide-body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams located in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales, and Brackley, England.
Role Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will provide technical support, collaborate on work packages, and manage projects across various engineering initiatives. You will be a key contributor within the Safran Seats GB Engineering Project Management office, involved in projects during Early Engagement, Delivery, Test and Prototyping, and/or Sustaining Production.
Key Responsibilities
1. Understand and facilitate Time, Cost, and Quality in product development and/or R&T lifecycle.
2. Engage with and develop project governance, methods, and tools to meet contractual and customer requirements.
3. Manage stakeholders across engineering and non-engineering disciplines to ensure project success.
4. Manage changes and requirements in product development.
5. Utilize project management tools to provide regular updates and support to engineering management.
6. Analyze and prioritize data and actions based on business needs.
7. Contribute to contract, funding, and commercial negotiations.
8. Support product engineering with technology handover and transition to manufacturing.
9. Perform peer reviews of data, analyses, and reports.
10. Ensure product development complies with aircraft certification requirements, leveraging team expertise.

Job Requirements
* Industrial experience in product development, production engineering, or R&D within engineering.
* Experience in project management, methods, and tools.
* Proven planning and influencing skills.
* Self-reliant, proactive, motivated, and achievement-oriented.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to establish effective cross-departmental and customer relationships.
* Qualified to NVQ Level 4 or HNC in engineering.
* Knowledge of software, electrical, electronic systems, or composite and additive manufactured components.
* Experience in product/process/materials development.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with data handling software proficiency.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* Full UK driving license and valid passport, as travel may be required.
