We are looking for a Veterinary Receptionist to join our friendly team at Beaumont Vets in Exeter, Devon. We are committed to delivering exceptional client care and patient care at every visit.
The Receptionist role includes the following responsibilities:
1. Warmly greeting clients and their pets with a friendly, compassionate, and helpful demeanor.
2. Managing the diary efficiently to maximize appointment slots, handle online bookings, address emergencies, and maintain client records in compliance with GDPR.
3. Performing general administrative tasks, including training for your role.
4. Answering busy phone lines, emails, and other client communications professionally.
5. Registering clients for the Pet Health Club.
6. Processing payments, cashing up at the end of the day, managing client orders, and handling repeat prescription requests.
7. Unpacking orders and maintaining stock levels.
8. Ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming reception, waiting area, and consulting rooms.
9. Keeping up with ongoing online company training.

Applicant Requirements
We seek a Veterinary Receptionist with experience working in a busy vet practice. The ideal candidate is positive, proactive, and supportive, with excellent communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills. Enjoys a busy, customer-facing client care role. When working on the Saturday rota, you will be the sole receptionist supported by our Veterinary Nurses.
Your Shift Pattern
This is a 30-hour position with a variable weekly shift pattern between 8 am and 7:30 pm, including participation in the Saturday rota from 8 am to 1 pm.
