Marine & Helicopter Coordinator required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer.
Responsibilities:
o Emergency response coordination; acting as the front-line person responsible for coordinating the response as well as liaising with relevant parties such as project staff and/or external agencies.
o Vessel / helicopter traffic control as per agreed coordination protocols, procedures and processes.
o People, vessel and communications tracking.
o Manage WTG access restrictions.
o Ensure that all vessel allocations and unforeseen changes to the daily plan/schedule optimise the efficient use of the vessels available.
o Operate the offshore management system ensuring; (all offshore personnel have the correct certification & all assets are maintained to the latest status)
o Liaise with local stakeholders as required.
o Provide weather forecasting and observation system data and interpret to provide advice and recommendations to Project and Vessel Masters.
o Manage relationship on a day-to-day basis with weather data and observation system providers (for example, get problems with data or sources of data resolved).
o Liaise with local stakeholders as required
Requirements:
Local applicants preferred, within approx. 2 hours of Grimsby
Experienced in Marine Coordination, over 2 years.
o Competent in the use of Supplier Database for Offshore Operations.
o Competent with Radio Communications.
o Computer literate.
o Familiarity with Maritime Certification.
o Capable of working as part of Team, proactive, working under pressure and engages well with organisation.
o Experienced in Emergency Response offshore.
o Personnel Tracking - whereabouts of people working on asset projects offshore at all times.
o Marine Traffic Control - access to the OFW according to custody, timing, work scope.
o Airspace coordination - safe flight operations to, on and from the OWF.
o Monitoring of weather & marine operations on the OWF
o Emergency Response & Emergency response planning.
o Surveillance & vessel avoidance.
o Liaison & Advisory - Documentation / HSE / Marine Inspection / Helicopter Operators.
o Statutory Reporting - Pollution / Lighting / Drifting buoys / Vessel Infringement.
o 12 hours per day - 1 week on/1 week off
o Flexibility in provision of vacation and sickness cover i.e. rotations can be extended up to 14 - 21 days
o Exact shift pattern and shifts to be confirmed at interview. Possibility to be extended dependent upon workload requirements.
