We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and proactive Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a specialist SEN school in Oldbury, supporting children aged 4–11 years.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils with a range of special educational needs, supporting their learning, development and wellbeing in a nurturing and structured environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will:

Support pupils aged 4–11 with a variety of SEN needs, including complex and additional needs
*
Work 1:1, in small groups, and within the wider class team
*
Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
*
Implement individual education plans and behaviour support strategies
*
Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment
*
Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider school team
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*
A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
*
Previous experience working in an SEN school (essential)
*
A proactive, flexible and resilient approach
*
Strong understanding of a range of SEN needs
*
Good behaviour management skills and a calm, patient manner
*
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
