A welcoming and ambitious primary school in Leicester is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join the team from January 2026. The successful candidate will demonstrate passion for teaching across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, and will work closely with the wider school team to ensure all pupils receive engaging, inclusive and high-quality learning experiences.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver inspiring, well-structured lessons that motivate and challenge pupils
* Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
* Create a safe, positive and engaging classroom environment
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, school leaders and parents to support pupil development
* Participate in school activities including assemblies, performances, events and wider enrichment
* Follow safeguarding procedures and prioritise pupil welfare
* Apply effective behaviour management strategies to maintain an orderly learning environment
Requirements
* QTS (or equivalent) – suitable for Early Career Teachers
* Strong understanding of the national curriculum across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
* Excellent classroom management with the ability to engage and motivate learners
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to adapt lessons to support a range of learning styles and needs
* A reflective, dedicated practitioner with a genuine passion for teaching
