The Position
* Provide a friendly, efficient and accessible HR service to all staff with particular focus on recruitment, onboarding, and systems
* Champion and challenge current practise to create the best work place experience for permanent and match day staff
What you’ll do
* Support all identified recruitment activity including producing job adverts, and organising interviews ensuring the best candidate experience
* Ownership and proactive management of the recruitment Inbox
* Produce accurate and timely minutes of meetings including investigation meetings
* Create and distribute employee letters and communication ensuring mailing lists are kept up to date
* Become the expert ‘go to’ person for the HR system. Ensuring everyone is set up correctly and the data held is complete and accurate
* Create agreed reports as required to understand our workforce and make better decisions
* Offer first line HR advice and support. Answer the telephone, deal with telephone enquiries and take messages in a polite and professional manner / face to face
* Maintain up to date employee data ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
* Oversea all administration duties in relation to absence management and maternity leave
* Keep organisation structure to date
* Work closely with key stakeholders including Safeguarding, EDI and staffing operations
* Ensure every member of staff has been vetted correctly prior to joining us
* Become DBS ID Checker
* Make sure everyone knows everyone. Help develop excellent relationships across the Club
* Undertake adhoc projects as required
* Contribute to and support development of the HR support function
* Co chair the Social Committee in line with scope and role of the group
Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following experience / skills / qualities:
* Experience of working in HR administration
* Passionate about working with people
* Ability to stay calm whilst under pressure
* Organised, accurate and methodical with an eye for detail
* Operate with a high level of confidentiality
* Excellent desire to continuously improve systems, processes, and ways of working
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
* Advanced knowledge of MS Office
* Ability to problem solve, strong tact and diplomacy skills
* Can-do attitude with the willingness to learn and develop
Desirable:
* Working towards a CIPD qualification (if not we can support)
* Familiar with Workable and Cintra applications
