Role description: Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for engineering? At Alimak Group UK, we’re looking for a Field Service Engineer within our Facade Access Solutions division to play a key role in maintaining and supporting our innovative Building Maintenance Units (BMUs) across the UK, with most work based in vibrant London. Key tasks & responsibilities: Perform maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on BMU products throughout the UK. Support installation, initial inspection, and commissioning of new equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues, including VFC and PLC systems. Complete all documentation accurately and on time—service reports, timesheets, and more. Uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism on every site. Participate in our emergency out-of-hours rota and respond flexibly to customer needs. Drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and customer experience. Qualifications & Competencies: To be successful in this role you will have: Strong technical background in mechanical and electrical engineering. Experience with field-based service, ideally with BMUs or similar equipment. Excellent teamwork, communication, and customer service skills. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning.
