A Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor is required to join a major organisation based in the South East on a permanent basis. The Solicitor will be part of an established in-house legal team handling work of national importance.
The role offers flexible working with a requirement to attend the office in the South East at least once a week.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing and negotiating Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts, including performance monitoring, risk assessment, and stakeholder liaison across public and private sectors.
Strong understanding of PFI contract lifecycle management, especially contract handback, asset condition, and compliance with obligations, is essential.
Experience in construction law or public procurement is beneficial but not mandatory.
Responsibilities include:
1. Advising on engineering and construction matters related to infrastructure projects.
2. Managing the lifecycle of PFI contracts.
3. Drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
4. Guidance on procurement regulations and legal policies.
5. Handling legal matters, both contentious and non-contentious.
