We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Aerodynamics Test Engineer to join the team at our Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting wind tunnel testing activities, as well as helping to develop testing methodologies, processes and technologies.
* Support the methodology, processes and technologies for our wind tunnel experimental test activities to improve repeatability, correlation and efficiency
* Assist with the development of wind tunnel data analysis and project planning tools
* Define and document wind tunnel testing practices and procedures
* Work closely with aerodynamics performance development engineers in optimising experimental tests
* Investigate and research new and novel technologies, techniques and methodologies for wind tunnel systems, including instrumentation, sensors and aerodynamic measurements, etc

What do you need to bring to the team?
* Proven experience in a similar wind tunnel testing role within the Formula 1® industry
* Extensive experience with wind tunnel systems and testing facilities
* A deep understanding of wind tunnel testing methodology, best practices and Formula 1® aerodynamics
* Experience in off-body flow measurement operation and development
* Experience in leading, managing and planning projects
* Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to lead teams effectively
* Communicate effectively with key stakeholders
* Strong levels of IT skills, including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture
* Some limited travel will be required to visit the wind tunnel facility in Cologne, Germany
* Working knowledge of Python for data processing and analysis would be advantageous
