The People & Employment Administration Coordinator plays a key role in delivering high‑quality administrative and coordination support across the People & Culture (P&C) division at Ara.
This position ensures smooth, efficient processes throughout the entire employee lifecycle — from recruitment and onboarding through to documentation, HRIS updates, and colleague support. As a frontline representative of the P&C team, you will provide timely, confidential, and service‑focused assistance to leaders, colleagues, candidates, and external partners.
Working collaboratively with P&C Senior Advisors, Business Partners, and the wider People & Culture team, the role contributes to improving systems, enhancing employee experience touchpoints, and supporting strategic initiatives. With a commitment to Ara’s Tiriti‑led values and a people‑centred approach, you will help foster an inclusive, engaging, and culturally responsive workplace that enables colleagues to thrive.
We currently have two positions available, permanent full time, and fixed term part time, covering parental leave (26 hours per week, able to be worked over 4 or 5 days per week, with Thursday and Friday required). * A tertiary qualification at Degree level in an appropriate discipline
* 2+ years experience in an HR Administrator/Coordinator position ideally in a large organisation
* Understands the importance of confidentiality, displaying discretion whenever necessary
* Strong customer service focus and drive to meet expectations
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage delivery of multiple and conflicting priorities
* Committed to customer service, particularly in relation to employees and management
* Self-confident and calm under pressure
* Team player: collaborative ability with a sense of humour and a “can do” approach
* Demonstrated resilience and effectiveness within structured, process driven environments.
