Major Talent are looking for Senior HR Advisors based in East Kilbride, Scotland. The role is to support the Head of People to drive the overall operational HR people plan, agenda and HR strategy, providing customer requirements and best practice, with consistency, timely and improving delivery of transactional people KPIs.
As a Senior HR Advisor, you will:
* Manage the HR inbox and action any emails in an efficient timeframe
* Undertake all HR administration duties ensuring all HR systems are up to date and kept compliant
* Ownership of recruitment KPIs, overtime reporting and temporary labour reporting
* Act as the main point of contact for all general HR enquiries, both internal and external, escalating queries where necessary to Line Manager
* Provide day to day advice and guidance to Managers across the business in adherence to employment laws, policies, procedures and best practice
* Ownership of the onboarding process, gaining references, arranging inductions and overseeing probationary periods for new starters
* Ownership of the leaving process, including completing relevant paperwork, updating HR systems, conducting exit interviews and reporting on feedback to Line Manager
* Manage the operational HR activity and deliver the people plan across the site.
* Implement and embed change initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, customer standards, people processes and policies
* Utilise employee data to enable key insights to drive improvements.
* Coach and develop managers to increase capability in relation to effective people management and engagement
* Work in partnership with site managers to develop more efficient work force planning and resourcing processes
* Heavily support with ER casework, including note taking, investigations, offering advice
* In the absence of the Head of People, attend Management Meetings and conduct reports for key stakeholders and work closing with the other UK sites
* Manage the delivery of the performance management processes in the site
* Work in collaboration with the business leaders and wider HR team to drive improvements in employee communication and engagement.
* Operate as part of the site management team, collaborating with the site wider team, to support ad hoc activities.
A successful Senior HR Advisor will look like:
* Degree-level education or equivalent / Member CIPD or equivalent experience – CIPD Level 5 or above
* Min 3 years’ experience of delivering generalist operational HR requirements.
* Demonstrates innovative thinking using expertise and some understanding of personalities and behaviour to support problem solving and decision making
* Has some experience in business-critical projects – change management, redundancy
* Shows some commercial acumen - has some understanding of company finances
* Able to problem solve operational issues through a creative yet pragmatic approach
Salary - £35,000 per annum
