Why do we need you?
We're looking for a thoughtful, driven, and analytical Insight Analyst to join our team. This is a broad role covering portfolio performance analysis, customer and product insight, campaign evaluation, and predictive modelling. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business to track performance, identify opportunities, and provide clear recommendations that support decision making.

What do we need you to do?
Portfolio & Business Performance
* Monitor and interpret portfolio-level performance, including new business quality, retention, arrears, and payments.
* Identify trends and drivers of performance, highlighting risks and opportunities for the business.
* Provide analysis and reporting to support planning, forecasting, and senior decision making.
Customer & Product Insight
* Analyse customer and product behaviour to understand how engagement, demographics, and product use affect outcomes.
* Build and maintain customer segments to support business decisions across marking, product, and operations.
* Provide insight to improve retention, reduce attrition, and increase long-term value.
* Perform end-to-end train of thought analysis – working from broad business questions through to clear, evidence-based conclusions.
Modelling & Predictive Analysis
* Develop and maintain models to predict key outcomes – such as likelihood to leave, expected value, or response to product offerings.
* Apply statistical and data science techniques to support scenario planning and stress testing.
* Work with others in the team to ensure models are accurate, well-understood, and used in decision making.
* Use historical data and trend analysis to support planning and forecasting.
Reporting & Communication
* Build reliable reports and dashboards that give a clear view of portfolio and business performance
* Present findings in a clear, actionable way for both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders across the business.
Campaign & Activity Evaluation
* Assess how marketing and customer initiatives are performing across different channels and products
* Support test and learn activity by comparing approaches and evaluating outcomes.
* Help the business understand which activities drive results and where improvements are needed.
Collaboration
* Work closely with teams across marketing, operations, finances, and product to make sure analysis support day to day decisions as well as long-term strategy.
* Promote a culture of evidence-based decision making across the business.
What skills and experience do we need you to have?
Essential
* At least 4 years' experience in an analytical role within a commercial, financial, or operational setting.
* Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
* Proficient in Python or R, with practical experience using these for analysis, modelling, or automation.
* Skilled in building reports and dashboards in tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
* Understanding of modelling and statistical techniques (e.g. regression, classification, clustering) and how they can be applied in a business context.
* Experience working with modern data platforms (e.g. Databricks) and cloud-based environments.
* Proven ability to turn data into clear insight and practical recommendations that support decision making.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders, including senior management.
* Background in financial services or a related sector, with exposure to portfolio or risk analysis.
Desirable
* Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS.
* Familiarity with distributed data frameworks such as PySpark for handling large-scale data.
* Understanding of marketing and digital channels, and how their performance is measured.
* Experience with CRM systems or customer data platforms.
* Background in financial services or a related sector, with exposure to portfolio or risk analysis.
