Health and Wellbeing Officer – CMB2112e
Location: Carlisle or Workington
Salary: £32,061 to £32,597 per annum
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Temporary (18 months)
About This Opportunity
As a Health and Wellbeing Officer, you’ll help people across Cumbria live healthier, happier lives. You’ll work with individuals aged 16 and over, as well as their families and communities, to make positive changes and reduce the need for formal support services.
Responsibilities
* Help people set and reach their health and wellbeing goals
* Focus on communities that face more health challenges
* Support people to make changes in their lifestyle, relationships and finances
* Build confidence and independence
* Encourage people to connect with local groups and activities
* Work with other services to find practical alternatives to formal support
Public Health Team Support during Disease Outbreaks
* Speak with people who have tested positive and their contacts
* Give advice and guidance
* Record important information
* Work with other agencies to help stop the spread
* Report any complex or safeguarding issues

* Experience in health and wellbeing or related field

* Knowledge of local community resources and support services
