A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic CACHE Level 3 qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to join its Early Years team on a full-time basis. The school is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
About the Role
The EYFS Teaching Assistant will play a key role in supporting the learning, development, and wellbeing of pupils in the Early Years setting. Working closely with the class teacher and wider team, the successful candidate will help to create a safe, engaging, and inspiring environment in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the planning and delivery of creative and engaging learning activities
2. Work with individuals and small groups to support learning and development
3. Assist in observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress
4. Help to maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment
5. Promote positive behaviour and support children’s social and emotional development
6. Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
7. A CACHE Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent)
8. Experience working within an EYFS setting
9. A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
10. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
11. A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
12. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
