Peaple Talent is partnering with a leading professional services organisation seeking an experienced Senior IT Manager to oversee and optimise their IT operations.
You’ll take ownership of a highly capable IT function, ensuring robust, secure, and high-performing infrastructure, driving their cloud transformation journey to Azure, and mentoring a talented technical team.
This is a hands‑on leadership role that blends strategic oversight, technical expertise, and people leadership to ensure the business operates efficiently and securely.
What You’ll Do
* Oversee all technical IT operations, including infrastructure, networking, systems, backups, and security
* Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team to ensure high performance and professional growth
* Manage and optimise the firm’s cloud environments, accelerating the move to Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
* Ensure system availability, resilience, and performance through proactive monitoring and maintenance
* Implement and maintain robust IT policies, processes, and procedures aligned with best practices
* Manage vendor relationships and handle technical escalations effectively
* Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity, and cybersecurity initiatives
* Perform regular systems updates and maintenance — including occasional out-of-hours work
What You’ll Bring
* 10+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 3 years in a management or senior technical leadership role
* Proven success in managing Microsoft Azure environments and cloud migrations
* Strong understanding of networking, virtualisation, and security principles
* Experience with ITIL frameworks and service management best practices
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with competing priorities
