Please note that this is a fixed term maternity cover position for 12 months at 0.8FTE. The Admissions Systems Officer is a crucial part of the Admissions & Applicant Engagement senior team. Supporting the digital life cycle that underpins the end‑to‑end admissions process, the role is responsible for monitoring systems and protocols relating to data collection and verification throughout the admissions and applicant services funnel, ensuring integrated and accurate data supplies.
The role leads on the Data Futures work as it relates to admissions data, amending and resubmitting files as part of the HESA return calendar. The role is critical in ensuring we are maximising our income streams through the management of the course portfolio at UCAS, DfE Apply and our own website. Working with the Digital Services, Curriculum and Marketing teams, this role ensures processes relating to course approvals, amendments, suspensions and closures are compliant with consumer protection rights.
Main Responsibilities
1. Routinely assess admissions and applicant services systems via a robust framework of quality control measures to ensure systems are fit for purpose. Identify areas for development or change.
2. Scrutinise admissions and applicant services data sets ensuring full compliance with funding bodies and auditors.
3. Bridge the work of the academic development, the curriculum team, the web team, and admissions in relation to course approval, set up and amendments. Attend curriculum management group and other forums relating to this work.
4. Working with the management team, identify, support and oversee digital enhancements to the admissions and applicant services process ensuring systems remain efficient and effective.
5. Contribute to activities related to cycle readiness to maximise recruitment and conversion potential.
