About the Client Youll be supporting an adult with Autism and Learning Disabilities who lives a busy, structured life and enjoys being out and about every day. He is very close to his parents and values familiar, supportive people around him. His interests include: Being outdoors and walking at National Trust properties Going to the gym Cinema trips Eating out Cooking and exploring food This is a hands-on leadership role combining direct support with team management. Duties include: Direct Support Supporting daily life skills and routines Encouraging healthy budgeting and spending habits Attending activities, meals out, and community outings Helping maintain his home environment Communicating clearly, calmly, and at a steady pace Working sensitively around his daily challenges and emotional needs Team Leadership Creating and managing rotas Completing payroll reconciliation Conducting supervisions and mentoring staff Role-modelling best practice in Autism-informed support Ensuring GDPR, safeguarding, and professional boundaries are upheld at all times Supporting the team to deliver consistent, structured, person-centred care What Were Looking For Strong experience supporting individuals with Autism Strong experience in a Team Leader position within the healthcare sector A calm, patient, steady communicator Someone who can explain things clearly and take time to ensure understanding A confident leader who can guide, mentor, and motivate a team Excellent understanding of safeguarding and GDPR Ability to balance independence, safety, and positive risk-taking Creative thinking around budgeting and activity planning More about acuity care We have been around for nearly 20 years so know our stuff!
