As a Senior Care Assistant at HC-One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It touches every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You’ll help provide personalised care that supports residents’ security, dignity and independence, while working closely with families and the care team.
Responsibilities
* Plan and implement the kind of care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence.
* Get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
* Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care; act as a positive influence on the team.
* Demonstrate compassionate interactions, such as guiding a resident on using mobility aids, supporting with meals, and communicating with family members.
* Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities.
* Administer medication in line with care plans and protocols.
* Maintain accurate records of care delivered and build strong relationships within the team.
Qualifications and experience
* Ideally, completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care and prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent.
* Background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of dementia care.
* Strong record-keeping, time-management and communication skills; ability to be kind and considerate in all interactions.
