Role: Business Intelligence ManagerRole Type & Working Model: Permanent, hybrid 3 days per week in the office required.Location: Sevenoaks area.Overall purpose of the role:Reporting into the Chief Credit & Analytics Officer, this is senior role and is a hybrid management / analyst role, responsible for both the development of a small team as well as running your own high impact projects.Key responsibilities and accountabilities:• Lead the data function, acting as an internal consultant, interpreting user requests and where appropriate, making suggestions for better/alternative ways of obtaining and presenting information• Provide thought leadership and actively influence decisions on business initiatives which lean heavily on data capability• Act as the point person for external stakeholder reporting and collaborating with Investor Relations or Compliance teams• Bring more efficiencies into the reporting suite providing users with greater functionality/ flexibility• Own the data quality & integrity framework; providing assurance to senior management and funders on the quality of data feeding into various management information reports• Partner with technology and wider business to improve the data feeds within the data warehouse• Regularly explore and investigate new tools for data storage, querying, analysis, modelling, data exploration, presentation; making suggestions and implementing them as appropriate• Provide mentorship and guidance to the junior members of Business intelligence & analytics functionsCompliance and regulation:Develop and maintain a full understanding of the Company’s compliance requirements (including the Financial Conduct Authority’s Conduct Rules) and act in accordance with the standards, instructions in, and the spirit of those requirements.Act to deliver good outcomes for our customers and understand how this requirement specifically applies to your role.Person specification:• Hands-on experience in a data or analytics function• Proficient with SQL, SSRS, Excel, Power BI, DAX, R, Python• Analytical mindset - you spot trends and notice details, and have a natural intellectual curiosity• You are a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who can take ownership and work independently towards tight deadlines, prioritising your work appropriately• Good interpersonal and communication skills; you are comfortable presenting and explaining technical information in a non-technical way to key stakeholders across the business• Strong service focus and a passion for delivering high quality end-user experience to internal and external clients• Desire to work in a fast-growing, fast-paced environment with a “start-up” feel• Lifelong learner – you have a drive to learn and continually develop your skills and abilities• Degree or work experience in a numerate or analytical subject (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics, Engineering, Accounting, Finance or similar) desirable• Comfortable identifying and raising issues, particularly where driving good outcomes for customers are concernedAdditional requirements:• This role is a Hybrid working model and a minimum of 3 days in the office is required - must be able to reliably commute to office (due to our location and lack of public transport it is suggested that you are a driver)• From time to time, and within reason, you may be required to perform tasks that fall outside of your position’s remit, and work outside of your standard contracted hours
