Overview
Band 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker – Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Hours: Various. Shift Pattern: Predominantly 12 hour shifts with day/night/weekend rotation. This role supports the acute nursing team at NHS Grampian across the Medicine and Unscheduled Care Portfolio and the Integrated Specialist Care Portfolio.
Responsibilities
* Deliver safe, effective and person-centred care under the supervision of registered nurses.
* Support individuals with complex needs and carry out delegated tasks such as NEWS scoring, wound care and completion of documentation.
* Use digital systems to document care and activities.
Portfolio Details
* The Medicine and Unscheduled Care Portfolio includes the Unscheduled Care Pathway (Emergency Department, Acute Medical Initial Assessment) and short stay medicine with wards covering gastroenterology, diabetes and endocrinology, cardiology, respiratory, renal, infectious diseases, acute stroke, palliative medicine and general medicine.
* The Integrated Specialist Care Portfolio includes critical care, theatres, burns and plastic surgery, urology, ENT and Maxillofacial, short stay theatres, general surgery, neurology, vascular, ophthalmology, cardiothoracic, orthopaedics, haematology and oncology.

* Support to complete the HCSW competency booklet and allocation to a preceptor for onboarding and support.
