Overview
We are looking for a People Advisor who is confident in providing ER advice and generalist HR support to a variety of front-line managers within the business.

Key requirements
* Proven multi-tasking experience working in a fast paced, high volume people advisory role?
* Good working knowledge of employment legislation and managing ER case work?
* Excellent planning and organisation skills, with the ability to think ahead and plan work to meet deadlines?
* Experience in supporting management teams, coaching line managers in line with policy, process and legislation?
* Are you confident to challenge others with the ability to offer advice and recommendations?
* Able to work well under pressure, take pride in your work with high attention to detail and accuracy?
* Have excellent communication skills, maintaining a professional etiquette at all times?
Responsibilities
* Provide an effective generalist service to a range of front line managers and colleagues within the business.
* Support an effective recruitment process, ensuring a fair, diverse and inclusive approach to attract the best people, ensuring compliance to Right To Work.
* Ensure compliance to policy and process throughout the employee lifecycle, coaching front line managers where required.
* Support induction and probations, providing advice where required.
* Advise on attendance management (short and long term) supporting absence reduction, ensuring policy and process is fairly applied.
* Support the People Partner/Head of People with projects where appropriate.
* Provide advice to line managers regarding investigation processes, ensuring appropriate completion in an appropriate timescale.
* Advise and provide administration support during complex disciplinary and grievance hearings.
* Support and deliver engagement and learning & development activities, including talent management and performance improvement plans.
* Identify areas for improvement and support implementation.
* Collate data and reporting information for analysis to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
* CIPD Level 3 qualified or equivalent experience in a generalist HR role.
* Proven experience in providing HR support within a fast-paced, operational environment — ideally within logistics, warehousing, or transport.
* Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices, particularly in relation to absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
